Longest Local flight

What is the longest local flight that you have flown? By that I mean took off and flew landing at the airport of origin with no intermediate landings. Today I flew 258 nm in a little over 2 hours. The flight was a large (obviously) circuit over much of South Central Oklahoma. I flew at three cruise altitudes depending on direction of flight from 6500 to 7500 to 8500 on the return leg. The flight took me from my home airport to the Red River (Texas state line) then East finally NW to KOUN, sort of an irregular right triangle shape.

  • Hi Bill,
It sounds like you had a very good day! I spent the day studying for my ATP written exam. Yuck. lol

  • When I landed I had a T-6 (we have 2 WWII versions based here) land behind me, that was also a pretty sight.
