Canopy button sealant

A few of the screw in metal buttons for the canopy are loose on my Cherokee. They screw into the skin on the fuselage. I’m looking for the right product to help the thread tightly engage and seal. Silicon probably not strong enough but I don’t want to guess on products. I have a pic below. Any idea of what to use?

Thanks. I may have to upsize the sheet metal screw. I still may need a sealer.
