There is a cross bar between the flight controls behind the panel. This moves to the rear when moving the flight controls, right to where you would like to mount the autopilot controller. It’s tight, but can be done.

Nice TruTrak (AeroCruz) install! Must have run into all the install issues in this center stack position as I did in my PA-28-180. Looks great.
It was installed when I acquired the aircraft.
