PA32 owners...What fire extinguisher fits this bracket?

I have a fire extinguisher bracket under the panel, but I don't have the extinguisher. See red circle in picture. I just bought an H3R but it won't fit. It's the correct diameter, but the canister is too long. What brand/model was intended to fit in here?

Thanks!

  • Here is a cross post from Cherokee Chat with a parts list for that fire extinguisher bracket mount. The diagram is from an Archer POH, but this does look like it could work in any Piper 28- or 32- series aircraft.

  • Would you happen to still have this PA32? I have a PA28 that shares the same part numbers for the bracket assembly, but I haven't hound any good pictures of it installed, beyond what is the airplane parts catalog. I would greatly appreciate if you could send some pics of the actual assembly from a couple of different angles. I've managed to find a few of the individual parts on the used market, but would like to see what all of the parts actually look like and how they are assembled and attached under the instrument panel.

    Thank you, Brian
