O/H Dual Bendix Magneto for Lance?

My A&P says my 400 hr Dual Bendix Magneto Part # 10-682560-13 is out of spec... Spruce (QAA) wants $4075 for an overhauled unit! Is this for real? It can't take 40 hours (@$100/hr) to overhaul this thing?? Anybody know of a shop that can overhaul my unit? Tx, Horst . '76 Lance.
