Updating my Avidyne IFD-540 GPS
Ok, on the lighter side this fourth of July, 2019. Yesterday I updated my flash drive with the latest maps from Jeppesen and went to the airport for a quick update and flight in my Arrow. The maps updated in a minute or so and then it started updating terrain with a map that I forgot that I had purchased. The nav maps are small but the terrain file is huge. The update started and I realized that I should have chosen a different day to update them. Rats! I couldn't stop the update so I figured I just fly around for a while using my backup navcomm and VOR navigation. Unfortunately it took an hour for the update. Here's what I did for an hour while it updated 
At least I got some flying time in! Happy fourth everyone!
