Mexico 406 MHz ELT requirement postponed to April 2, 2010
Our meetings, letters, emails and lobbying have paid off once again. We have been working closely with the Mexican DGAC for two years now on this topic and have been successful in obtaining two postponements of the 406 MHz ELT deadline. Since the last extension, we have continued to meet with the Mexican DGAC (civil aviation) and we have received official notification today that a third postponement has been issued moving the deadline once again to April 2, 2010.
We will have more details on our NEWS page shortly for those that want the details. We want to thank AOPA, members of POS and the many customers of Caribbean Sky Tours who have supported our efforts and provided us with technical information that has been extremely beneficial in the presentations and documents that we have been submitting to the DGAC. We will continue working on this topic.
