337 help needed

anyone have a ski or fishing pole tube installed with a 337. I'm running into a dead end with a web search. I know a lot of folks have them, I had them inplanes I owned in the 90's, but can't find a 337 anywhere. Need one for a C model 150-160 or 180

    Do you mean STC? A 337 is a form that needs to be filled out and sent to the FAA for a major repair or a major alteration. You can't just do anything you want and put it on a 337 and think that's cool... unless you get a field approval for it. The field approval would be easy if there is no STC for what you want to do. Just a little drawing and re-do the W&B and I'd bet it gets approved no trouble at all.

    I have been told that it is a lot harder to get a field approval no a days, but if you have a 337 for one that was done on the same of similar plane it makes it a lot easier to get thru
