HELP! JPI EDM-711 NOT STC'd FOR TURBO ARROW III
JPI is a fine company making fine products. Unfortunately, we just discovered that their acclaimed Engine Monitor EDM-711 (an EDM-701 with Primary TIT added) is NOT listed on the STC for the Turbo Arrow III (PA28R-201T). This was apparently an oversight in the STC process, as every other Arrow, turbo and otherwise, is on the STC. So are the Mooneys and Senecas that use the same Continental TSIO-360-FB engine.
This situation dictates that we obtain a Field Approval for this installation. Does anyone in the Piper world know of an existing EDM-711 installation into a Turbo Arrow III? Any existing documentation of such an approved installation would apparently help considerably in the approval process of our intended installation.
Any other recommendations would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Perhaps I have misread JPI's MEL:
http://jpitech.com/manuals/01/Microsoft Word - MEL101FF-REV14.pdf
Line 99 lists your PA-28R-201T (along with PA-28R-201,-28R-201T -28-201T, PA-28RT-201,-28RT-201T,-28-201) with options (4) and (A).
This translates to allowing all the options on the 4 cylinder products.
The (6) and (B) would refer to the PA-28-235/236 since they use the 6 cylinder O-540 engine.
Or have I misread your question or JPI's STC?
