Found a Cherokee I would like to buy, N5594J , but found it may have hail damage. Haven't been to see it yet, but was wondering how to adjust my offer to purchase.
Most planes that have spent much time outside have "light hail". That is a ding here and there. If it has more than that, like dimpled like a golf ball... it costs thousand of bucks to get rid of it. If you can live with it, truth be known that heavy hail tends to add a few knots to the cruise...
Thanks for the info. Talked with the previous owner and he said he got substantially less then he hoped for because the buyer made a bid deal about the hail damage. Like the airplane, just want to pay what's fair.
