Golf destinations in the Midwest?

OK group. My wife and I both enjoy flying and golfing. I'm looking for more golf destinations in the Midwest where the course is very close to or (preferably) adjacent to the airport. If there is a decent restaurant nearby, that's a bonus. I'll start with the following list, please add as you see fit. Go!

Woodbury GC, C65 airport - Plymouth, IN
Crystal Mtn GC, 7Y2 airport - Thompsonville, MI
Glen Erin GC, JVL airport - Janesville, WI
Grand Geneva GC, C07 airport - Lake Geneva, WI
Lake Lawn Lodge GC, C59 airport - Delevan, WI
Brown's Lake near BUU airport - Burlington, WI
Prarie Landing GC, DPA airport - West Chicago, IL

  • How about miniature golf courses? :)

  • LOL, I prefer real courses. They don't have to be PGA tour caliber; we play for fun!

  • Poplar Meadows Country Club, UCY airport - Union City, TN
KY Dam Golf Course & Calvert City Golf & Country Club, M34 airport, Calvert City KY

  • If you play Lake Lawn at C59, let me know! It’s about a 4 minute drive from my house and I can do pizza in my brick oven afterward

  • Thanks Jim, if I go to C59, I'll take you up on that offer! Have they done any improvements to the runway there or is it still pretty rough?

  • The runway isn’t in great shape, but it is useable. The taxiway is in really bad shape the last time I used it, so I’d plan to backtaxi after landing (if you use 36)!

So it sounds like it hasn't changed much since I was there 7 yrs ago. I know people that land in the grass rather than risk landing on the runway. Shame they don't fix the runway and taxiway because it's a great little airport.

  • 9WN2 - Voyager Village in Webster, Wisconsin. Fly right into the golf course and enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking the runway.
