Lance nose gear tow bar connection
Im building a battery powered ac tug for a 77 Lance. Im having trouble getting a nose gear attachment/clamp design that works to manually turn the nose-gear. The tow bar w the plane only fits on the stbd side of the axel w a 4" insert. Does anyone have a tug with a tight attachment they could recommend (send pics)? The tug is more of 'tow-assist' that will help me get er in and out of the hangar. Any help/guidance appreciated.

Here is a photo of the tug that I use. It lifts the nosewheel off the ground while moving the plane.

I second the sidewinder...I've had one for a few years and works great...it's also portable enough to put in the rear cargo to provide "ballast" if needed and move your bird at the destination.

Thank you all. After some trial and error (I’m no engineer) I got a ‘clamp’ style to work on this garage project... thanks for the help and suggestions!

Works well with enough power+ to tow in/out w full tanks.
