CHEROKEE SIX - 260 POWER PLANT UPGRADES?

In my limited research, I did not see an STC to upgrade a Cherokee Six – 260 to 300 horsepower. All I saw was the STC to add turbocharging. Is there an STC out there for increasing the power on a 260 horsepower PA-32 that I didn’t, see?
If no STC exists, can anyone tell me why? Structural differences, subsystem compatibility issues, or what?

    There was a time when it was easier to get STC's. If an STC was not created in the 70's to 90's it is unlikely to ever be as the requirements for approval are exhaustive for a major change like that and the market relatively small given the fleet size and expense.
