The Plane…Is Home
After 4 months and a $38,000 annual my plane is home. Yes, $38,000. Every annual for the past 17 years has been fraudulent. Lots of mandatory inspections that had never been done.
We flew it home January 21, 2022. It was -20C and the 1964 PA 28-160 we flew to get it was not air tight. At 4,500 feet it was -30C.
My Arrow is not air tight but I can get to the vents and block them. I had sweet tea in the backseat on the way home, it froze but was nice to drink when we landed.
Would it be bad to put Duck Tape over the leading edge air intakes till spring?
We let the 160 take off 15 mins before we started our engine and still got home 10 mins before he did.

First 2 I used the red and blues on my tuck and the last is the best I could do for the high speed fly by.

Awesome that you finally have your bird home!
I'm not an official, but I don't think you'd be breaking any rules by covering the cabin air intake as it's neither an alteration nor is it permanent.
Congrats! Either way, start enjoying it.
