Piper Discontinues “For Hire” support
Looks like they will still support service bulletins and other publications produced by them where modifications or other technical support is necessary. But asking them to help you re-design a structure, or other element of Pipers is off the table.
I own and fly a 79 PA32RT-300T. Previous aircraft are a 79 Archer and 76 Arrow.

I saw this come through my email last evening… I think this is bad news. As the fleet ages, engineered solutions will likely be needed.
I wonder why this decision was made, but my career experience would suggest that engineering services consume needed design capacity from new products AND each custom engineering service represents a liability that doesn't make business sense.
