Actually they had Brisket sandwiches and pulled pork.

VA99 is a little air park actually within walking distance of my house but I drove 40 mins to hangar and flew 20 miles to attend.

runway is 2200' with tall trees on both ends. to the south there is 600' clear way cut in the trees. I have to land north and take off south.

on the field the hosts have a maule and a champ another host has an RV7A and an RV9A that is a hangar queen.

I will post up the flyer next year. It located in Virginia at the confluence of the Potomac river and the Chesapeake Bay.

Noticed a church at the runway's north end. Sure hope that the local rescue squad is on speed-dial just in case, and not the pastor.

Very cool! If they do it again, please be sure to pass on the info. I live about 30 minutes driving from there and about a 15 minute flight.
