I think a Aug or Sept 2024 fly in to Sunriver OR near Bend would be great and I could help organize. The airport is on Sunriver Resort property and Sunriver itself has many whole house rentals available making it an excellent group and family destination.
Probably should also have some east coast fly in options too in the Spring.
I think it would be fun but 1RL is a 2265ft turf field. This is right at my accelerate and stop minimum with a maximum performance takeoff with 25 deg of flaps. A normal zero flaps aborted takeoff and I would be in the water...
To attract pilots from afar needs to have lodging/activities, etc to keep pilot and crew engaged. most of the lodging there is on the canadian side.

Maybe 1RL to let the good folks there know that the rest of the US has not forgotten about them?
Although, that strip might prove a challenge for the hotter airframes.

Hi everyone and thanks for your comments. I'd love to do one out west but I don't have alot of experience out there. Anyone interested in assisting?
