Piper Sport Cruiser PS-28

I was just wondering if anyone here has a Piper Sport Cruiser?
For those not familiar, the Sport Cruiser is built by Czech Aircraft Group out of Czechoslovakia. It’s an LSA, low wing, 2 passenger, 100-ish knot airplane. For about one year, 2009-2010, Piper teamed up with Czech to market and sell the airplane here in the United States. It did OK, kinda filled a small gap similar to the Cessna 162 Skycatcher. Then there was some kind of marketing disagreement and the partnership was dissolved. Czech continues to sell the airplane here calling it the Sport Cruiser, new they go for about $285,000.
You can find quite a few on Controller and Barnstormer.
I'm primarily interested in the Piper version.
- How do you like it?
- How does it fly?
- Hows it to maintain?
- Good stuff/not so good stuff…
You know, just a quick Pilot Report, I’ve read a lot and looked at quite a few videos on the airplane, even got ride in one last year. Was just looking for some better information from the Forum. Always good stuff here…
