Engine Analyzer
With a 1982 Dakota with 1850 hours SMOH with Millennium OH, great compressions great bore scope evaluations, I think I would like to try to get 2500 hours until next OH.
I will be getting annual bore scope and compressions plus all the other sense able things to go there safely, but I think I should invest in an engine analyzer to keep it safe. I do have a very basic one, but open to ideas to make it safer. So far it is a JPI 900.
Thanks for any suggestions.

EI CGR-30 is a good unit, or can install as 2 screens. If you want a secondary, EDM830 is good, or look at Insight G3 or 4.
