I am curious if any one knows if any of the 13 Dakotas built in 94 are still flying and available to purchase?

    Can do what the brokerage houses do:

    - Go FAA database mining to get current owners' mail addresses. Using search criteria makes this easy. Although, recent changes to the registry make it possible for owners to obscure the address.

    - Send a letter to the owner expressing interest.

    I actually did this when I bought the PA-32 and wanted to get inputs from other PA-32 owners in terms of preferable A&Ps in the area. Adding some sort of gift (cash, McDonald's gift card, etc) will increase the response rate.
