Bushplane Museum

Ok, summer's coming. If any of you Piper flyers is coming across the continent this summer, and a stop at CYAM or KANJ is useful to you, I'll take you to one of the best little secrets in aviation history - the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.

It's on the water in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, and it's so much fun! Really wonderful for kids, lots of restored aircraft they let you actually climb around in and pretend to fly. Also lots about forest fire, which generally gets the kids' attention.

Middle of the continent, convenient for clearing Customs either direction, and maybe even a dinner of fresh lake trout at my house if my floatplane buddies have had any fishing success lately.

Let me know when you're coming!
