Piper AD2010-15-10.
LIBERTY, North Carolina, Aug. 31, 2010. Today is the effective date of AD2010-15-10, which could cause some Piper owners to have to replace their control wheel shaft universals. PMA Products, Inc. has a replacement universal, CA62834-802, which is considerably less than half the cost of the Piper universal.
In order to use the PMA universal instead of the Piper part, owners would have to follow the procedure in the AD under Alternate Methods of Compliance (AMOCs).
