How Do You Secure Items in the Baggage Compartment?

As a matter of course, I usually have at least three or four medium-sized items in the baggage compartment of my 180C (tool bag, miscellaneous supplies bag, camera bag, etc.) not to mention the occasional item or two of luggage, wife's purse, etc. Although the baggage compartment has tie-down straps, they're really not very practical for multiple small items. Would a cargo net work, and, if so, do you have a recommendation? Other solutions?

  • A cargo net will keep stuff out of your way, but will not secure it in the event of an impact.
  • A couple of big duffle bags can collect all that stuff and are amenable to being tied down with Cherokee baggage comptmnt straps. I use military surplus canvas "parachute bags." They're sturdy and have indestructible zippers.
