Rear Seat Belts for Cherokee 140
I recently purchased a 1964 PA-28-140 ( 150 HP ). I love the plane but would like to be able to carry an adult in the front and perhaps a couple of my grandkids in the back ( don't worry, I'm EXTREMELY conservative about weight and balance. Grandkids are quite small right now ). The problem is the 140 has no seat belts in the rear. My A&P says there really isn't a provision for them. Can anyone give me any information on if/how the seat belts can be legally installed? Also, approximate weight and cost. Any other information/recommendations that come to mind would be appreciated.
