New SAIB: Maneuvering Speed
The recent FAA Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin on maneuvering speed (CE-11-17) motivated me to crunch the numbers on how the maneuvering speed changes when I fly my 180C at less than max. gross weight of 2400 pounds. I was surprised how much lower the maneuvering speed is at my typical flying weight of 1900 pounds (1345 empty wt. + 1 fat pilot + full fuel + 50 pounds baggage). Your results may vary.
