Grass runway irrigation
We live at a fly-in community with a grass runway in Texas (drought central).
Apparently the subject of irrigation comes up every few years or every drought period but we never get enough interest to vote the money.
One system we have heard of is a subsurface system which is not only cheaper than above ground sprinklers but we wouldn't have to worry about when to run it. The people who bid it have installed it at one airport in Amarillo.
Has anyone heard of others that have done it?
