I haven't heard, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done.
Alternatively, under Part 91 the FAA allows you to buckle two kids into the same seatbelt as long as their combined weight does not exceed 170 lbs. A copy of their ruling with clarifies this is here.
I was wondering the same thing and a google search brought me here. I have a 235 as well and two small kids (combined weight ~85 lbs). Be careful if you try to share a seat belt, it looks like they are possibly changing the rule due to an accident:
So would you (and anyone reading this thread) interpret the current rule as allowing three children occupying the rear bench seat of the cherokee provided they are all restrained in some fashion by the two seat belts in the back?
