corrosion issue
Thought I should share this with all of the long bodied piper drivers, We've had two aircraft, a saratoga and a lance of the 78/79 vintage with significant corrosion along the hat rails/ribs attached to the underside or the six seat pipers. All of the damage is on the exhaust stack side and begins at the point where the exhaust gasses make contact with the fuselage during flight. One of the planes has original paint, the other was repainted in 2004. If you can see "any" even minor blistering of the paint along these rails, address it now. It gets ugly fast. If the plane's been repainted without addressing the problem, the corrosion is just cookin away under the finish. fly safe
