Should I have my perscription sunglasses polarized or not?

    Many of the moving map systems such as the IPAD, IPOD, IFly, and maybe others require nonpolarized lenses, else you will have to remove your sunglasses each time you want to see the screen.

    Years ago I was wearing polarized glasses and looking for a small uncontrolled airport. Tuurned out the single runway at the airport was asphalt and with the glare from the sun the runway was literally invisible. Apparently the refection from the runway was polarized @ 90 degrees to the sunglasses. When I removed the glasses the runway was clearly visible. Interesting. You can see this same affect by placing 2 polarized lenses in front of each other and rotating one of the lenses. You'll see they become opaque at certain angles. Anyway, FWIW!
