Youre going to need to get a field approval for this. The FAA will want to see qualification data for the parts to a known standard such as part 23 (off another approved aircraft installation) PMA or TSO approval. I looked at this some time ago for my 65 140, with the AD involved, not likely you can get an approval for the ACS. I have heard that of others using control wheels on a Cessna I think (part 23 approval) but have not looked into it.
