Alton Bay ice runway
Landed my six at the ice runway in Alton bay! Skidded for about 1500 feet. It's really a unique experience. Dontblet the idea of ice scare you off. I practiced my landings prior to going to make sure I was getting wheels down in the first 100 feet or so. Once your wheels touch it's just a matter of seeing how long she'll skid before she stops. I thought it would skid farther. The people in town were very friendly. I highly recommend it. My copilot was asked by Jill Tallman of AOPA to write an article on it. Here it is.
