GFC Autopilot and IFD 540

Is there any reason not to pair the GFC 500 with the IFD540. The G5 PFD and HSI are installed. . We had considered the GTN 650. Not totally in love with a touch screen only device.

    Hi and thanks for writing. I pulled out my 650 and installed an IFD-540. It works with my STEC 55x autopilot, my Garmin 345 transponder and my Aspen PFD. The outputs from the IFD are arinc and will be fine with the GFC500. Just to be sure, give Avidyne sales a phone call at 888-723-7592 and ask them.
