Cherokee 140 Nose Cowl

We are looking to replace, or refurbish, the Nose Cowl on our PA-28-140B due to soft spots and spider cracking. After searching online it appears that no one is making a replacement part. The Piper part number is 63679-000. Does any one have a suggestions where to find a replacement part, or for refurbishing the Nose Cowl.

    For refurbishing check with www.knots2u.com, They don't generally do refurbs, but they might know of someone that does.

    Hi Scott,
    I checked with knots2u. On a chat they said there was a carbon fiber replacement and gave me a quote. When I called them on the phone they said there wasn't a replacement. They also did not offer a referral.

    OK, I just spoke with John Bailey, owner of Knots2U. He was kind enough to answer my call on a Sunday. He says that he has a mold and have made a few. However, they don't have an FAA-PMA for the part but he can make it for you as an owner produced part. If you're interested, let me know.
