Getting ideas for new paint
The paint on our Arrow is 40 years old. It's beyond time to get rid of the "Trippy '70s paint scheme and go with something new. We spoke with a local guy who does superlative aircraft painting. He painted all 49 Cessna Caravans that FedEx uses. His work is awesome. We reserved a spot for next winter. This scheme is kinda what we are leaning toward. The colors are from Sherwin-WIlliams Aerospace. Neptune Blue Shimmer, Snow White Shimmer, Gallery Gold Metallic, and Nobel Red Metallic. What do you think? I'd like to hear pro and con...

Looks great! Although my Arrow is blue and white, so I am a little biased.

And, the paint with my reserved N number...

This is really nice although with shadowed N numbers, they're hard to read. What's the name of the paint shop?

Scott, it's called VANCO aviation. Yeah, as far as the N numbers, I'm just playing with ideas right now. The shadowed does make it a little hard to read, doesn't it!

Nice design and very pretty color combination. As for the N number if you raised it above the red strip there would be less "conflict" with so much going on visually with the overlay. Also you might want to review this AC on N numbers. https://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/AC_45-2E.pdf . Paragraph 7.3 and 7.3.1 discuss the shading or border.
This is better!

Looks good
Yes, noticeable improvement. I think I could be happy with this paint job basically forever, lol.

Now this is nice. Looks much better.
Beauty; what's the interior color?
Right now, it's tan suede color. It will end up with blue carpet, sidewalls and seats.

Looks nice.
I painted my Turbo Arrow III recently in a scheme not too different. I opted to space the bottom blue high enough that I could fit the N number in the blue reversed out in white with silver shadow. Opted to add the LoPresti wingtips with upswept rear tips. Attached photo, hopefully it opens for you.
As a N-Number "specialist", we have a tool on our website that allows you to design FAA-compliant characters/outlines/shadows. Have fun!
Oh Wow! That's really nice!

I like your paint scheme, especially the tail section. You might consider a slightly larger N number transitioning above and below the midline and more vertically centered. I agree it looks better without the shadowing. I just put a ton of $ into a new GFC500 and a couple G5's so no new paint this year on my Archer III.
