Years ago, Piper offered a kit, part number 756-785, but the kit did not include the step, part number 65784-00.
Is the step attachment plate on your plane? Behind the flap should be a reinforced plate with bolt holes in it. If it's there, you can mount a step procured from a boneyard. Take a look.

No, it's not there. See if it's on your type certificate. If not, you can't install one without the help of a DER and a wheelbarrow full of money. If it is there, you might be able to get your mechanic to install one from a boneyard.

Speaking of that step, has anyone ever stepped down from the wing and missed it, but not completely and caught the outside of your ankle on that piece of steel.
