  • I wonder how many people use HIWAS nowadays. I can get everything I want from my iPad now without having to hunt down a HIWAS freq.

  • Agree Scott. I was probably one of the last people in the USA to give up using paper charts. The first time I used a tablet with a moving map, I said to myself "This is cheating..." All the data you need is literally at your fingertip. I flew with a GPS previously, but situational awareness is incredible now.

  • Yes, Griff. I switched a year ago and felt the same way. My charts are always up to date and I love geo-synched approach plates and taxi charts. Life is good!

  • I still subscribe to the WAC Digest version of Sky-Nav paper charts as a backup for long trips JUST IN CASE!!
