Turbo Arrow Speed Mods and Result

So I made the plunge and installed all the speed mods I could. This baby is slick now! I usually reduce power at about 1000 AGL, but decided to leave it at 41" for a little bit longer and this is what happened.

I heard that there is an STC'd Mach condensation collector out there, but they are hard to come by, especially today. Any help appreciated......

  • Ha! Too funny! (Nicely done). So do you have any stats on your speed mods?

  • No official stats there Scott, although I am going to have my installer add a Mach meter to our new panel.

I've been reading up on the challenges in the trans sonic regime, and found that a coke bottle shape fuselage reduces drag considerably. I can't find a mod for that, but I'm thinking if I put a really long belt on the fuselage in front of the cargo door and pull it really tight it will have the same effect.

I asked the FAA about doing that and they gave me the name of a nice doctor for me to talk to within 48 hours. :D

    Happy April Fools Day everyone!
