Lance nose gear tow bar connection
Im building a battery powered ac tug for a 77 Lance. Im having trouble getting a nose gear attachment/clamp design that works to manually turn the nose-gear. The tow bar w the plane only fits on the stbd side of the axel w a 4" insert. Does anyone have a tug with a tight attachment they could recommend (send pics)? The tug is more of 'tow-assist' that will help me get er in and out of the hangar. Any help/guidance appreciated.

Here is a photo of the tug that I use. It lifts the nosewheel off the ground while moving the plane.

This one works great on a Saratoga:

Good luck.
I second the sidewinder...I've had one for a few years and works great...it's also portable enough to put in the rear cargo to provide "ballast" if needed and move your bird at the destination.
I second the sidewinder also
Thank you all. After some trial and error (I’m no engineer) I got a ‘clamp’ style to work on this garage project... thanks for the help and suggestions!
Here's the finished product; Prototype #1
Works well with enough power+ to tow in/out w full tanks.
Great job on building the tug, and nice looking Lance!
