Colder weather is here!

Hi everyone, with cooler weather here, I just thought I'd remind everyone to install their oil cooler winterization plates! :)

  • Thanks for the reminder and illustration.

I'm flying from MN to TX and back next week. Let's say that temps are 40F and 75F for MN and TX. Should I plan on having them installed before leaving, removing them at my midway fuel stop and reversing the process on the return trip? What would you do?

  • Put them in for cold weather. Don't worry about them in TX and other warm areas. You can burn one or two gph more to keep the engine cool in the warmer climes. Just keep an eye on temps and you'll be okay.
