What is a ventilator?

PA32-300 part numbers: 63218-05 and

22482-00

“BOXASSEMBLY- Ventilator 1 * SCOOP- Air”

the line coming off this in my plane is cut off and blocked … I have no idea where this is supposed to route or what the purpose or intent was. The scoop is located next to external power receptacle. Anyone know??

  • Hi, I can see them all over the internet for sale, new and used. I'm wondering if this is a battery box vent, but I don't really know. We have lots of Pa-32 owners on the forum, one will know. Interestingly, having owned 3 PA-34's that are the same fuselage as the 32, I haven't seen this before.

  • Unless you moved your battery somewhere, would have been air to the battery compartment box. If you have a sealed battery, probably a moot point.
