Hanging a TSIO-360-KB on a Turbo Arrow III

Hi, Presently I have a TSIO-360-FB1 on the front of my Arrow. It is getting close to overhaul time and the time wait for TSIO-360-FB1's is "out there" (10 months for cyl's)....

In chatting with someone today they thought that the TSIO-360-KB could be fitted to an Arrow. I didn't see it in the TCDS.

The turboplus folks (the upgrade of a FB to KB specs STC) said that the STC can't be used to put an actual KB on the plane. Something about crankshaft issues...

So I thought I would check here to see if anyone knows of an actual -KB being legally put on a PA28R-201T and what the paperwork was/is.

Thanks

John Brown

  • You will need an STC for that. Here's a link and you can search them. https://drs.faa.gov/browse
