PA-34 In Work

Greetings,

Been here a little over a year and thought we’d share some of the progress. Phase 1 was completed last year; installing a Dynon panel/autopilot and adding SureFly electronic ignition. Phase 2 just finished; new paint, new N number, new interior, 1/4” windows and one piece windscreen along with a host of other little improvements. Phase 3 will be early next year with KB engines STC, MT 3 blade props, turbo intercoolers, GAMI injection and Black Magic automatic wastegates (if they are back in production in time)

  • Wow! Looking great! You are on a roll!

Did you already match the N number on the panel to the new number on the tail?

    Regards,

    Mike

  • Mike,

We did. The panel picture was taken right after the avionics work. Had the new N number put on the panel during the paint and interior work

  • Looks great! is this with the Dynon STC? Is that a Dynon Autopilot too? How do you like it??? Looks like you elected to keep your existing engine monitors but otherwise have a full Dynon panel.

  • Yes, it is the Dynon STC. Two SkyView HDX 10” displays, the D-30 and a Dynon autopilot. We are very happy with it. We’re in the process of getting the Dynon pitch trim amp installed so that the autopilot will be able to make pitch trim adjustments.

We did decide to keep the CGR-30Ps and CGR-30C engine instruments. They are stand alone but they work great.

The radios came with the plane as well. Garmin 350 audio panel with two GTN 650s and a Garmin 345R transponder with ADS-B in/out.

Everything works well together and it’s a great IFR cross country machine.

  • Great looking plane. Thanks for sharing the pics.

  • Amazing! Good job! Nice to see how a new life has been brought to this masterpiece!!! Can’t wait to see the final result ;) I believe this type of avionics can let the owner enjoy cruises without checking the fuel flow 😅
