Wing Fuel Placard

Any good source for replacement wing fuel placards?

I have seen some pretty nice looking ones - anyone have a recommendation?

  • You can buy generic placards from Aircraft Spruce, from basic to more elaborate. Check here: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/search/search.php?s=fuel%20placard

  • Can also get the new super cool one from GAMI 🙂

  • I have used Aerographics to replace existing worn placards and create some custom ones for me. They've been great to work with, the placards are good quality, and they are reasonably priced.

  • Fun Fact - the Seneca III does not have a fuel capacity placard per POH. Just fuel type. Aerographics does have replacement decals with capacity. What makes it even more surprising is there is a 30 gallon difference between standard and optional fuel and it is impossible to see any fuel in the main tank until 50%+ . With 123 gallons max usable, half fuel is about 2 hrs or so and worth 360 lbs of useful load. Lot's of incentive to take off with partial fuel but you are then relying on the stock gauges....

Having a fuel totalizer is a huge+ even if it is not a primary instrument. Keeping a written log of hours and fuel is also an excellent backup.

  • I recently bought some from Arrow Graphics for my Arrow and I am very pleased with them - they look great. I don't think he has any out of the box for a PA32R but if you email him I bet he will print one for you with the right numbers on them, he's done custom stuff for me in the past!

  • Moody aero graphics it's also a good source and I've used them on my 172 and they're still holding up well. Good quality. Carl
