How's it going!
I'm from Ontario, Canada, and this is my 1969 Piper PA-28R-200—an Arrow ONE, thank you very much. The previous owner took amazing care of it from 1999 until selling it to us last year. The paint was redone in 2012, but it still looks brand new. He was a classic car geek and poured just as much love into this plane as his collection on four wheels. We bought it with less than 100 hours on the prop and less than 350 on the engine. The amazing thing is that the engine is not a rebuild. The previous owner was friends with the president of Lycoming Canada and scored a 100% new parts engine for the plane.
I got signed off as a commercial pilot a few weeks ago and have been training on a local Seminole for my MEL. After buying this plane last year and putting 80 hours on it, sliding into that PA-44 was pretty easy. I’m just starting on my IFR.
I’m working towards a career in aviation, but I just love to fly even if I have to pay for it. Hopefully, by this time next year, I’ll be out of my IT job and in the right seat of something bigger. I’ll still fly QES on the weekends though. Aviation is my true love, and this plane is perfect for that mission.
