New style wheel pants on old Cherokee

Does anyone know of the legality of putting on the new style Archer wheel pants on an older 1967 Cherokee 180? I assume it would require an STC, but I can’t see one anywhere I’ve searched. I was going to do the LFS Fancy Pants, but would rather the Archer ones. Thanks

    To do an STC, the AML would have to list your model. If its a generic PA28 on the AML, you'd be okay, if it breaks them down to specific models, it would be a field approval to the STC/337.

    Or, if your mechanic considers the change from an archer to cherokee minor, only a logbook entry is required. Not all STC's have to be considered a major alteration- in my view (one mechanic only) LED's are not majors and I don't do 337's for them.
