Glare Shield
I recently purchased a replacement glare shield for an Archer II. It offers a perfect fit and includes an integral brow. The only challenge is securing it to the top of the instrument panel. The included instructions offer two options, using the provided hook and loop strip, or punching four holes in the underlying aluminum and using the provided PK fasteners. I would appreciate input from others that may have performed a similar installation and any alternate methods employed.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hi plank,
I have renewed the top of my glare shield in the past and would vote for any method that does not involve drilling holes or having to remove the front windscreen! The velcro sounds non-invasive enough! Let us know how it turns out!

Mike
Double check with the IA, although my vote is also +1 for the Velcro path. Bonus is flexibility with accessing that area in the future.
Only concern I'd have is with the Velcro's adhesive as the glue on the back-side tends to lose some cohesion / adhesion when it gets warm enough. Even with this concern, I use Velcro for yolk mounting a tablet and the stuff remains where it should and keeps the tablet firmly in place. So perhaps the better concern is to avoid going cheap and to stick with top tier products like 3M.
