New FAA Administrator Nominated

The following White House press release announced the nomination of a new FAA Administrator.

"The White House has nominated Bobby Sturgell to serve as administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. He is currently the Acting Administrator and Deputy Administrator of the FAA. Bobby has worked tirelessly to modernize our nation's air traffic control system. He was part of the announcement that the President made about six weeks ago. He has over three decades of real-world experience in the field. He served as a flight operations supervisor and a line pilot for United Airlines. He was an instructor at the Navy Fighter Weapons School -- it's also known as Top Gun. He shares the President's strong commitment to continuing to preserve the safest period of aviation on record."
