Piper Cubs from WWII

I got asked this by a reporter ... bit of a long shot, but does anybody have any ideas?

Hi! I'm a photo researcher at HistoryNet's American History magazine. We're looking for some photos of Piper cub airplanes modified with an M1 by WW2 pilots Dave Henley and Joe Zentner. Any chance you've heard this story and know how I could track down some photos for our story in the magazine?! Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!
