1974 Warrior

Hello, I'm new to the forum and mainly fly a 1974 PA28-151 warrior, which is owned by the Portsmouth Flying Club in Portsmouth, NH, of which I'm a member and the Maintenance Officer. She's a great flying girl and as you can see she looks good from far, but far from good. Last year we upgraded electronics substantially with a new GTN650xi, 2 GI275's, new GTX354 xponder and GMA345 audio interface with all the new antennas and removal of the vacuum system etc. For this year's upgrades, we've just ordered a whole new interior and will be installing it over the next 2 months as all the parts come in.

I'm an A&P who mainly works on big jets, but am loving learning about little GA planes. I'd love to talk with others who work on their own warriors.

Later, Brian

  • Welcome Brian Great starter airplane. Yes GA is going to be a little different beast than what you're used to working on. Hopefully it'll be a fun journey. Any questions let the group or myself know. Welcome aboard Carl

  • Welcome Brian,

I am not an A & P but did my interior and it not only was one of the most rewarding experiences but makes the plane look so much more modern. It will change how your plane feels to everyone flying in it. Good luck and welcome!

  • Looks great. We love our 1973 warrior but sadly are letting her go due to upgrading to a Cessna R172K Hawk XP. I prefer the Cessna over the Hawk but will get used to Cessnas again.
