Welcome Fred from Carl up here in Minnesota. Not that your airplane needs a lot of parts but how is it trying to get parts and supplies for GA aircraft down there. Carl

Hi Carl! Thanks for welcoming. With retrofit there a lot of used instruments around as many companies here offers the retrofit service. Very good service by the way. So if you like needles in the panel, like me, its ok.
I just change the vacuum pump to keep old instruments working.
There are some little companies here in the country ( maybe two) that reproduces plastic parts, like air vents, lens etc, so thats ok. But things like speed mods, Aero trim (as I saw today in December magazine) are not common here, if you wanna it you have to import from USA.
Most of engine parts are imported too, which makes overhaul expensive (like any place in the world I think)
We have great companies here that import engines, engines parts, instruments, Garmin, etc. But we dont have anything like Aircraft Spruce stores.
Bem-vindo Fred!
Welcome to Piper Owners. You have a beautiful Cherokee! We have a large number of Cherokee owners in the organization who love to share information! They would also be interested in daily flying in Brazil! We have a category on the forum for Piper Stories if you have a story to share.
Love the wheel pants. Did the previous owner still have them or did you have to search for a new pair? And the rear side window?? Not visible in the before photo.
Keep the pointy end forward, and the dirty side down,
Regards,
Mike
Thanks for welcoming Mike. As soon as possible I going to share my adventures.
The previous owner already have the pants and he probably install the rear windows.
This plane came from USA to train new pilots in Rio de Janeiro. Than was sold to the previous owner (before me) who gave new color, install pants and the rear window.
Here in Rio de Janeiro in 2012
Welcome to the forum...Very nice bird. I hope you post some of your adventures in Brazil. It would be interesting to note the trip from US to Brazil...I've always wanted to travel to South America.
Regards,
Roe
As soon as possible I’ll post my first cross country.
Fly to USA to Brazil would be a great adventure.
I keep dreaming to fly to AirVenture with my bird.
